Is it free?
Yes. Know Your Spot is free for players, families and coaches.
Does my child need an account?
No. Players and families never make an account. Signing in is only for adults, such as coaches and club admins, and it is optional.
What does it collect about my child?
Nothing. No name, no age, no photo, no location. There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics. A name typed onto a spot stays on that phone. The privacy policy has the details.
Can my child use it before they can read?
Yes, that is who it is built for. Every screen is a picture, one word and a voice, and anything can be tapped to hear it.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes. Once it has been opened, it keeps working at the field with no signal.
Is it in the App Store?
Not today. It works in any phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. The parents page shows how.
What languages does it speak?
English and Spanish. You can pick from several voices in the app's settings.
Which formations does it cover?
7v7, 9v9 and 11v11, plus futsal and arena courts. A club chooses the formations it plays.
My club gave me a link. Which one do I use?
Use your club's link. It has your team's plays in it. Open it once and the plays stay on the phone.
Can coaches add their own plays?
Yes. A coach can draw a play step by step, save it, and send it to the team. The coaches page explains how.
How do I take the club's plays off a phone?
In the app, tap the gear, then Remove from this device beside your club.
How do I delete my account?
If you signed in as an adult, you can delete your account from the app's settings. You can also email hello@knowyourspot.app and we will do it for you.
