For coaches
Your playbook, on every phone
Know Your Spot puts your positions, your shape and your set plays on every player's phone, with a picture, one word and a voice. Players practise at home, so practice time goes further.
One link for the families
A club gets its own link, with its crest, formations and playbook. Each link carries a code. Families open it once and the plays stay on that phone, working with no signal. Nobody has to make an account.
Sharing it
- The club admin invites coaches by email.
- Sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Google or Apple.
- Your club link and your team's link are at the top, each with Share. Post it in the team chat.
- A family can also type the code from the link instead.
Keeping it to your club
- A club's playbook is private to that club.
- If a link gets passed around too far, give it a new code and share the new link. Phones with the old link lose the plays until they get the new one.
- A wrong code opens nothing, and too many wrong tries in a short time are paused for a while.
Draw a play, send it to the team
Drawing a play
- On Shape or Plays, tap Draw.
- Set everyone out for the start.
- Tap Step and move players and the ball to where they go next. A play has 2 to 12 steps.
- Type a few words for each step if you like.
- Tap Save and give it a name. It appears in Plays, under Ours, and plays back like any other play.
Sending it
- In Plays, tap the three dots on your play, then Send to team.
- Every phone that opened the club link gets it the next time the app opens.
- Or tap Share to send one play by link. Whoever opens the link can add it to their own plays.
- Words typed into a play reach the club's admins first. Once an admin approves them, they are recorded in the app's voice.
Your shape, your plays
A club lists the formations it plays, so a small sided team is not offered an 11v11 shape. Pick a formation and Plays shows the plays that work in it, drawn in that formation, with the right players making the runs.
7v7 and 9v9
2-3-1 and 3-2-1 for 7v7. 3-2-3 and 3-3-2 for 9v9.
11v11
4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2, 4-1-4-1 and 4-5-1.
Futsal and arena
Indoor courts with their own positions, plays and rules.
A play you draw follows the formation on screen too. A note says which formation it was drawn in, and As drawn shows the original.
Plays and rules in 3D
Every play and rule can be watched as a narrated 3D match, from the angle a player actually has. Pause it, step through it, turn the camera and pinch to zoom. A referee makes the call in the rules where the call is the lesson.
Hear from your families
Families and players can send feedback from the app, with screenshots, without an account. Club admins read it. A signed in adult can choose to send a note with their account, so the club can reply.
